About

The Metro Atlanta Pickleball Coaches Association is a nonprofit organization focusing on networking, career-development and business-building for Metro Atlanta’s pickleball teachers and coaches.

MAPCA will also help pickleball facilities find coaches to fill jobs.

MAPCA is open to all professional pickleball teachers and coaches, whether or not they are certified, including those who are:

  • Self-employed contractors
  • Employees
  • Coaches at private facilities, park districts, country clubs or schools
  • Programming staff members at nonprofit pickleball organizations*

*Affiliate membership only

Membership is not available to those coaching informally (i.e., coaching friends or family).

MAPCA will focus primarily on helping Metro Atlanta’s pickleball teachers and coaches improve their earning potential through networking and business-skills development activities (e.g., lunch-and-learns, webinars, etc.), and eventually, a job board.

MAPCA will also bring together employers and coaches to fill job openings.

Membership in MAPCA is free in 2026 to those who fill out a short survey.

The survey will generate information that will help the Metro Atlanta pickleball community learn more about where the area’s coaches teach, what they purchase, how long they have been teaching, how many courts they use, if they are affiliated with a pro shop or retailer, what percent of the area’s teachers and coaches are certified or not, etc.

This information will be helpful in creating programs to help local teachers and coaches climb the career ladder, increase their incomes and secure higher-level jobs in the pickleball industry.
